Colette is currently renovating their store in Paris. Today they announced some features of the new renovated store and it for sure sounds intriguing and interesting.

“The will indeed is to ensure the first floor a broadened out area, not only dedicated to fashion, and also a more accessible space for streetwear, so dynamic today. colette therefore contacted Japanese architect Masamichi Katayama / Wonderwall* to go over its ground floor and finally decided to let him redesign all three floors. A real challenge for him because of the limited time and existing space to work with.

On the ground floor, clients will still find a selection of books, magazines, CDs, records, DVDs, hi-tech products, watches and accessories, and all these little fun objects we love. There will also be a space dedicated to streetwear culture with a wall of sneakers, a house of tshirts multi-brands and mini-shops Alife, A Bathing Ape, Billionaire Boys Club / Ice Cream, Original Fake (all exclusive).

On the first floor, find always mens and womens fashion with our unique mix of established brands and newcomers, as well as accessories and precious jewelry. Beauty, “candles bar” and our favorites of the season will come to complete. The gallery remains were currently situated and a new space for temporary projects will be created below.”

I can’t wait for the new store to be finished. August 25 is the re-opening.

In the meantime you can visit the Mini Colette Store at 23 Place du Marché Saint Honoré.

Skateboard P, otherwise known as Pharrell is shown above holding a pair of custom designed Ice Cream Board Flip IIs which were specially designed for him. Fellow sneakerhead Pharrell reached out to designer JGoods to work on this project and add yet another custom sneaker to his ever growing collection. Working with an Ice Cream Board Flip as a base isnt something JGoods is all that familiar with but being a man of many talents he was pretty confident he could get the job done. Plus, how do you say no to somebody like Pharrell when they reach out to you for a job like this? You dont, you just make it happen and get the job done, which JGoods clearly did here. Besides for the obvious green, black and white checker pattern JGoods added an ice cream design which is shown dripping down all around the top of the sneaker. You take notice to it all the way up the lace tab, around the ankle and out to the back on the heel. The dripping ice cream design also found its way to the top of the tongue too. Im sure Pharrell was more then pleased with the final results as JGoods put in a lot of time and effort to make them truly unique and clean for the hip hop mogul. These puppies cost Pharrell a whopping $1,100, but what do you expect for such a quality job like this. More pictures of all the details follow after the jump, check em out to see that dripping ice cream design up close.

Pharrell Williams has a $67,000 purple/pink crocodile
Hermes bag

When men first began carrying bags that were traditionally worn by women people laughed- they laughed loud and they laughed hard, but with some of manliest men and top style gurus strutting . . . I mean walking around with these bags you have to ask yourself- is it really THAT bad? Some people think that the “man-bag” portrays 1 of 2 things: you’re self-absorbed or you like men. I’m thinking that stigma is changing. The list of of men who rock “murses” grows everyday: Pharrell, David Beckham, Lupe Fiasco, Tom Brady, Seal, Kanye West, Ryan Reynolds, and Terrence Howard just to name a few.

David Beckham with a leather brown Prada bag

Terrence Howard with his black patent & leather crocodile

Lupe Fiasco and his red Goyard bag

Seal with a black leather murse

Tom Brady with an army fatigue murse

In his interview with Paper Magazine Pharrell talks about his murse/travel bag:

“Don’t call it a murse,” says PHARRELL, pulling out his second look from the gargantuan purple croc HERMES tote, which he has accessorized with another JACOB key chain, this one covered in yellow diamonds to match the bag’s gold hard-ware.

“It’s not a man purse. It’s my travel bag.”

PHARRELL says style is… “about who you are, where you’re going, what’s comfortable…It’s your attitude that makes it hot.”

“It’s not that I’m necessarily proud of being a nerd,” says PHARRELL. “It’s who I am.”

Pharrell is truly stuntin’ with his 2 Hermes murses, he’s so proud!
I think he’s an advocate for the murses, he’ll probably start a non-profit in support of men carrying bags that look like purses. . .;-)

Personally, I think it’s okay for a man to have a bag like its okay for a woman to wear jeans – I think the bag has to fit the look. It just becomes a little questionable when he carries it like a purse, you know under his arm like Tom Brady or the way Terrence Howard does. Pharrell’s purple color rocksss in my oppinion. . . ! These huge bags are very appropriate for travel and just walking around the streets on a daily basis like below if you feel like. . . (cough cough) Pharrell:

highsnobiety - Andy Warhol

Michael Kohn Gallery in Los Angeles is offering a rare opportunity to view the photography of Andy Warhol. 200 works have been selected from the last eleven years of Warhol’s life (1976-1987), documenting his interaction with the city and its objects. An underlying theme is how Warhol’s photography, and the medium itself, informed his silkscreens. The exhibition runs until August 22.

I love Any Warhols art…!
