A couple days ago Billionaire Boys Club unveil all three designs from the brand’s The Blueprint 3 lineup. Although each version shares familiar imagery, each reflects a different message, with a couple featuring backside graphic hits. The “So Ambitious”, “ABC”, and “I’m On A Mission” tees will see a release on September 23rd within BBC/Ice Cream Japan. A US release can be expected as well. Retail is set at $78.

On a similar note to A Bathing Ape, the Nigo-involved BBC Ice Cream makes another high-profile joining with Japanese online mega-mall ZOZOTOWN. Marking the online store’s opening will be a series of special exclusive items limited to ZOZO which include t-shirt, denim shorts and a hat. Stay tuned for more details regarding the store’s launch.

New accessories from the BBC Ice Cream Spring/Summer 2009 Collection have been released. The waffle design comes on a new large size tote bag in a red colorway. Also the BBC Ice Cream dog character appears this season in the form of a belt buckle. It comes in two colorways. Both pieces are now available in the Tokyo flagship store.
BBC Ice Cream keep the hits coming for their latest batch of April releases. Amongst this selection of goods are various graphic t-shirts, sneakers, pants/denim, and even backpacks. The items stay consistent throughout the current season, offering subdued color choices paired with more vibrant offerings. Available now at BBC Ice Cream flagship locations worldwide.

In the first interview following the stepping-down of Nigo as head of A Bathing Ape, he offers some information behind the move in the latest issue of WWD for Japan. Claiming that company re-structuring is common practice, it seems as though not all that much will change. The April 1st move fell in line with the original launch of NOWHERE back in April 1st of 1993. Nigo still maintains a creative role behind the brand as well as majority share owner. As well this latest announcement also featured the launch of a new company in the form of Nigo LD.

World renowned fashion photographer Neil Bedford will present a series of works involving the BBC crew later this month. The event should house a number of interesting and behind the scenes look into the brand’s workings which involve a number of high-profile personalities. The exhibit begins on April 16th, 2009 with a handful of prints also going on sale.

Reliable fashion source WWD reports that A Bathing Ape’s general Nigo looks to be stepping down from his role as president and director for the legendary Japanese streetwear brand, founded in 1993. Nigo will remain a majority owner of Nowhere Co., Ltd. which is A Bathing Ape’s parent company. Following a strong showing with his 15th Anniversary last year, this step down comes as a major surprise. He will although continue his role as designer for A Bathing Ape as well as his partnership with singer/producer Pharrell Williams alongside BBC/Ice Cream, where he is head designer and co-owner.
As long he continues designing…I’m cool with his decision…
